Rimadyl is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for the treatment of chronic and acute pain and inflammation in dogs.

The recommended dosage is between 20mg and 40mg dogs weighing 10kg or less, and between 50mg and 100mg for dogs weighing between 10kg and 25kg.
Side Effects
Taking any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory may result in an adverse reaction in your dog. Some of these reactions include loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea and general lethargy. In most cases the reported side effects are minimal and disappear once treatment is terminated.
Rimadyl is contraindicated for use in cats and in dogs with hypersensitivity to carprofen.
Rimadyl should not be used in dogs with existing heart, hepatic or renal disease.
Caution should be used in giving Rimadyl to dogs that are less then 6 weeks of age.
